I’ve enrolled in a pair of courses starting in January at the Toronto School of Art. The first course is introduction to painting taught by Tom Campbell. I’ve never actually had any sort of instruction in painting and the last time I remember using acrylics on a page was many years ago, back in the days when mom would hang up my art on the fridge. Ahh . . . sweet childhood memories. The second course is basic life drawing and is taught by Thomas Hendry. I’ve read countless times about the huge importance of practicing life drawing in developing your skills as an artist. Sometimes though, getting the drive necessary to get up and actually attend a session, after a day of work and university classes, can be disheartingly beyond me. I’m excited about having a regularly scheduled lesson to develop my skills. I also recently stumbled across Designboom. Beyond beginning containing vast amounts of information, interviews and reviews, Designboom runs courses in a wide variety of areas for an astoundingly low rate of 59 dollars under the moniker of design aerobics. I do have to admit that my lack of real information regarding the courses combined with my inherent trepidation about education offered online makes me unsure of the true value of these courses . Despite this I’m thinking I’ll test the waters with a single course come january. If anyone has ever taken a course with design aerobics or for that matter with any other online education system let me know. I’ll be sure to keep my blog updated with my findings and even occasionaly put up my work on my virtual fridge for the world to see.

Now this is truly crazy; Godiva Chocolate which taste like my all time favourite pastry treat, pie. According to those who’ve actually tried it, it does indeed taste like America’s favourite baked good. For a limited time customers can order a medley of flavours directly from
